Design Campaign and Quotes

"Design should never say 'Look at me.' It should always say 'Look at this.'"
-David Craib
"Design is intelligence made visible."
-Alina Wheeler
"Design is a formal response to a strategic question."
-Ivan Moretti

In my campaign I wanted to focus on the formality and, in a way, the theoretical look of design. These three quotes all explain visual philosophies that should be employed when designing. They are also all very straightforward and relatively short quotes. Design, too, should be straight to the point. I feel like out of this set of quotes a few visual ideas can be drawn. The first quote expresses how design should grab attention and the wittiness and intelligence that is used to grab one's attention. The second quote points out the intelligence and the information and the research that is put into design. The third quote makes note of the formal qualities and strategy employed in designing. Finally all quotes express the straight forward and clear aspect of design.

Attention grabbing, informative, strategic, and straightforward. This is what design is (summed up), as derived from these quotes.
